About the Academy

Not a bootcamp. An institution.

Summit Skill-Acquisition and Empowerment Academy was founded in June 2026 by Dr. Uchenna Henry Obizoba, and is registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission under RC 9735644.

Our founding story

SUMSEA began with a plain observation: across Anambra State and the wider South East, capable young people were leaving school without a trade that could sustain them. Degrees were scarce currency; skill was scarcer still. The Academy was established to close that gap with formal, disciplined instruction rather than informal apprenticeship alone.

Every programme runs for 3 months and ends in a diploma issued by the Academy. Instruction is delivered by practising professionals in each discipline, and students leave with portfolio work, not just a certificate.

What we hold ourselves to

  • Practical mastery

Assessment is by demonstrated work — a garment, an installation, a shoot, a business plan — not by recitation.

  • Access with dignity

10 scholarships are awarded per session so that cost does not decide who gets a trade.

  • Institutional integrity

A registered body, a named leadership, a documented admission process, and records the Registrar can stand behind.
